Lawyers for the 24-year-old X Factor judge are believed to have stepped in after Channel 5 bosses targeted the DJ to feature in the upcoming series of the fly-on-the-wall show, which hits screens next month.
After rumours about his participation reached the singer's legal team, they allegedly contacted production company Endemol and informed them MC Ultra was not legally allowed to take part.
This comes after the 28-year-old rapper signed an agreement earlier this year, which banned him from appearing in any reality shows and effectively gagged him from speaking any more about his relationship with Tulisa.
An insider told The Sun newspaper: 'Producers wanted Justin to take part in Celebrity Big Brother because of the publicity he would bring.'
However, a spokesperson for the star has claimed reality television is 'not something he would want to do' anyway.
Tulisa and Justin settled their legal dispute in July after the rapper admitted responsibility for leaking a sex tape of the pair from a number of years ago online, and publicly apologised to his ex-girlfriend.
The star said at the time: 'This time, Justin messed with the wrong woman. I am relieved that this is finally over. It has been a very testing few months and this was not a case I ever wanted to go through.
